Covid Policies

Youth & Teens:

​Dancers and staff will no longer be required to wear masks at Creation Dance Studio. Our number one priority is to keep your dancers and our staff as safe as possible, so we will continue to follow the lead of the Mercer Island School District and take this transition one day at a time. We are still determining the best way to move forward with opening our sitting area to parents and guardians, and an update about this will be sent out in the coming weeks. In the meantime, it will remain closed for observation of classes.
 

• All dancers will use hand sanitizer upon entering the studio and use our air purifiers and filtration systems at all times. 

• High touch areas will continue to be cleaned and disinfected regularly. 

• Dancers and staff that have had a known exposure to Covid-19 should take a Covid test and follow current safety protocols for exposure. 

• Dancers and staff with Covid-like symptoms should stay home until they are able to take a Covid test and confirm that they have tested negative. If a dancer has tested negative and is attending class with obvious cold symptoms, we will ask parents/guardians to provide us with proof of a negative test and to have their dancer(s) wear a mask in their dance class(es) until their symptoms have resolved.

• Isolation requirements for students and staff who test positive: People with COVID-19 must isolate for at least five days and should wear a well-fitting mask or receive a negative test if they return between days 6 - 10. People who do not wear a mask or receive a negative test can return after day 10.

• ​​Anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 that has attended class or been at the studio must notify Creation Dance Studio as soon as possible. Privacy and personal information will be protected as we take next steps. 

• We will continue to encourage all students to maintain a reasonable amount of social distance when possible.

-Dancers should arrive dressed in their dance attire 5 minutes before class time. Please bring a water bottle to class.

-Dancers with multiple classes in a row should bring one clean, dry mask for EACH class.

ADULT PROGRAM-

​

-Proof of vaccination is required for all adult dancers at this time. Please either send a picture of your vaccination card to info@creationdancestudio.com or bring your vaccine card to the studio. You will only need to show proof of vaccination once.

HOW CDS IS HANDLING COVID-19-

​

Your safety and your student's safety are our top priority. We believe that it is always better to be over cautious than under cautious. We understand that there are differing views and thank you for respecting our studio policies. 

​

-All national and state recommended protocols will be followed without exception.

-Class sizes are limited to 13 dancers at this time with the exception of Dance With Me which is limited to 10 dancers (plus one parent or guardian).

-We currently have a top of the line HVAC system in place (GPS Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization) that has been proven to kill 99.4% of the COVID-19 virus in lab tests.

-We have extremely effective air purifiers in both studios and in the common area that cover 1,256 square feet, as well as a smaller air purifier in the bathroom.

-All high touch surfaces will be sanitized in between every class.

-Every member of our Creation staff (including our Teacher Assistants) has been fully vaccinated.
